Crafting a contemporary user experience
Client: Australian Early Development Census
Role: UI Designer
Agency: Paper Giant
Year: 2024
We crafted a contemporary user experience for AEDC website users, while effortlessly guiding them through its features and content.
The existing AEDC website presented several challenges:
Taxonomy: No single strategy of how content is organised and categorised
Navigation: The site is not architected consistently, affecting how users navigate and search through the content
Linkages: The website content is organised in silos, with a lack of connectivity across pages
Content: The website content is bloated due to how the website was originally formed
Audience: The core audience is dynamic, but the website does not respond to changing requirements and doesn’t highlight key information
The Challenge
Methodology
An ideal user journey
After speaking with audience groups, we mapped out an ideal future state user journey.
We conducted two rounds of user testing with usable prototypes to gather insights and feedback.
